Sarah Smoker is all about simplicity in parenting and has us convinced that we need to start the day with more sun rises. We chatted with her recently on all things summer - here's what she said:

What does an ideal summer day look like for you?

We feel so lucky that we get to live at the beach. The PERFECT day for us always starts with watching the sun rise over the ocean. We are convinced it is impossible to have a bad day when our day starts like this :) Followed by a long beach day playing in the waves, sandy snacks and car naps on the way home.

What do you always keep in the trunk of your car this time of year?

A tube sock full of baby powder (nothing gets the sand off of littles better than this!) beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards. We are ALWAYS ready for a beach pit stop.

What's still on your Summer bucket list?

Weeki Wachee Springs and a trip to the mountains with our besties!

What summer song is on repeat in your car?

Some say the Ocean by The Hip Abduction

Favorite local spots with kids?

Fort Pierce Inlet State Park is always a big win for us! A nice long beach that always has the most perfect waves.

At this moment, what do your kids want to be when they grow up?

Maverick (5) wants to be a pro-skateboarder and Lennon (2) "wants a snack" 😂

What do you hope your kids will remember most about this summer?

The simplicity of the things that brought them so much joy. And how much joy they brought they parents.
